Try this creative Father's Day project! - Our little foxes

Try this creative Father's Day project!

The best Father's Day presents are the ones that come from the heart. You don't need to spend a lot of money to give dad something beautiful, creative and fun.

We love this idea and thanks to our friends at Pixy it's also an inexpensive gift.

In case you haven't heard of them, Pixy makes printing your Instagram photos super simple. Just mention @printwithpixy when you post photos using Instagram and Pixy will print and send them to your door. So simple!

How to make your Father's Day photo frame

1. Head to your nearest IKEA or $2 dollar shop and buy a simple white frame. We bought one sized 20x30cm for $13. Take the glass and backing out of the frame.

2. Visit http://printwithpixy.com/ourlittlefoxes and follow the steps to print up to 12 of your favourite Instagram photos for FREE!! Make sure you order by Sunday 30th August to get your pics in time.

Once you have your photo's, it's really easy.

3. Grab some twine, elastic or thread (I grabbed some from my daughter's bracelet making kit) and cut three pieces to fit the width of the frame. You can get as high or low tech as you want when you join the thread to the frame. We taped ours to the back (low tech), but you could insert screws into the inside edges of the frame and tie the thread to that instead (high tech!).

4. Then grab some cute wooden pegs (again, from a $2 or craft store) and peg your printed Pixy photo's to the thread!

We only used 6 prints in our frame, so pinned the other 6 prints onto thread that we tied to our staircase!

We love Instagram but often our photo's just stay online. Creating activities like this for the kids helps add colour and vibrancy to your home, and it's fun!
