Fun ways to make music!

Music doesn't need to be about theory and notes, just playing with different sounds is a form of music too! We love these simple challenges as a way of explore music and melody with children. Try them with your kids, plus have a chance to win a $50 craft pack just by sharing!

Beat the drum

How many types of things can you find around the house or outside that make a sound like a drum? See if you can find 20!

Whistle a tune!

Can you whistle? If not, give it a go! Ask mum or dad to show you how.

If you can, try whistling a song.

Drop that beat!

Have you heard of beat boxing? It's where you create beats and sounds, like you'd make with a drum kit, just with your mouth! It's pretty fun, give it a go.

Sing me a song

Do you like to sing? Your voice is actually one of the world's best musical instruments!

Ask your family to sit on the lounge and do a performance of your favourite song to them.
